Planning for Brighton:
What locations do we need?
5 different locations will be used in Brighton being the
Pier, the beach, shops, rock pools and the arcade. The broadness of all the
locations will enable our group to gain a variety of different shots, giving us
many new ideas.
What type of location?
Both exterior and interior locations will be utilised so
therefore we gauge an understanding of the importance of filming in a variety
of different environments, this will all help in leading up to our filming of
the final piece as the ideas of what conditions to film in will be made clear.
What look are we going for?
In the final editing of the we would like to put it together
in black and white which will give it an authentic look and also reinforces are
rough idea of what we want in our final film. With our genre Hip-Hop a lot of
shots are needed to implement a fast cutting rate with a variety of shot
essential to making the filming as intriguing as possible.
Will we film in black and white?
Yes, I think we will as this gives it a unique viewing with
black and white also emphasising age with black and white further connoting
being historic and old.
What is our bad weather contingency?
The bad weather contingency will affect the whether we film
in an exterior or interior location. If bad weather does prevail the likelihood
is that we will film in an interior location as this prevents the bad weather
having any true effect on the overall filming.
What props will we need to take with us?
I don’t think props will be of that importance in Brighton
as of the vast natural landscape this enables a variety of different shots and
themes to be taken. Also with the arcade, the pier and local shops, the
different locations will be very important in our shots whereas the use of
props maybe not so much.
Will we need to be able to hear the track for lip syncing?
If we put into practice of what we actually want in our final
piece this will be unnecessary as our genre is Hip-Hop we are going for an
unconventional style of this as normally lip syncing is evident.
